St. Lucia has always intrigued me. Those crazy mountains that seem to rise straight out of the sea have been calling me to visit for years! So naturally, I was over the moon when Amelia and I stared emailing about her upcoming wedding. Amelia & Chris live in London so we emailed back and forth and “met” over Skype. Their wedding was a joyous affair with family and friends joining them from home in the UK as well as Ontario.
The first day I was there, I hired a car to take me on a tour of the island and see the famed Pitons. Unfortunately, as you can see, the weather was not on our side. Not quite like the postcards 😉  Oh well, this just means I will have to go back.
Fortunately, the wedding day was gorgeous, except for a wee shower after the ceremony.
Here is an iPhone pic of the beach at the Windjammer. The water is amazing and I really enjoyed the little snorkelling trip I took with some new friends. We saw an octopus!
After my underwater adventure I caught up with Amelia and her mom at the salon.
