R&M got married at the bride’s parent’s beautiful home just north of Toronto. The day was absolutely gorgeous and everyone looked fantastic despite it being one of the hottest and stickiest days of the summer. Make-up artist Maili J. was the magic behind everyone looking cool as a cucumber. The day had everything – a gorgeous bride, a handsome groom, two loving families, and loads of wonderful friends. The decorations were beautiful. There were lovely flower arrangements everywhere that were prepared by In Bloom Floral Boutique and the whole wedding party also had gorgeous flowers.
I managed to catch a glimpse of the beautiful bride in the reflection of the grand piano when she was having her make-up done.
I absolutely love the back of her dress!
The event was catered by the lovely folks at Castello Ristorante. The food was spectacular in both taste and presentation. The cake was the bride’s Aunt’s famous rum cake (yum!) and it was decorated by Lily at A Cake Odyssey.
The ceremony took place in the bride’s parent’s yard. Such a stunning location!
This was an incredibly touching moment during the sand ceremony. The groom brought the vase of sand over to his bride’s grandmother so she could make her contribution. I love the look on the faces of the onlookers!
Look at this little princess!
After they were pronounced husband and wife the piper walked up the aisle to meet them, turned around and lead them out. I have a feeling that being escorted by a piper has a way of making one feel special.
After the ceremony we headed to the field next door to make good use of the massive hay bales and endless blue skies.
The groom and his best man were so much fun. Even in their best duds they didn’t think twice about scaling the side of these hay bales.
The bride’s sister is super talented! She performed a medley of love songs that had everyone laughing and crying. She started off with “I gotta feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good night” by the Black-Eyed Peas, and it sure was. Apparently, she just recently picked up the guitar when she was bored one day. Earlier in the day she was tickling the ivories on that gorgeous grand piano inside.
King Sunshine, one of the bride’s favourite bands, rocked the night away and had the dance floor packed all evening. The bride loves to dance and it was so wonderful to see how much fun she was having dancing at her wedding.
Thank you so much to R&M for including me in your special day. You two are such wonderfully warm people and your love for each other shines so bright. I wish you a life time of happiness.
