Gail from St. Catharines and Alex from Vancouver had to move all the way to London, UK to meet and fall in love. After living across the pond for several years, they recently moved back to Canada to start their married life together in Toronto. I had the good fortune to be introduced to this amazing couple through a mutual friend. We hit it off immediately and I had such a great time photographing their wedding. We met up before the ceremony to take pictures and wander around the streets of downtown St. Catharines. It was a very hot day. Just the day before, Toronto came extremely close to breaking its all time hottest temperature record of 38.3°C (101°F). Despite the heat, Gail and Alex looked cool and fabulous. The reception was at Treadwell in Port Dalhousie. Treadwell has been a pioneer in the locavore movement. They highlight food and wine from the Niagara region and oh my goodness it was incredible! I have been thinking about our meal there ever since and making this blog post I can feel my mouth water. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much for having me document your wedding day. Much love, Jennifer.
