Right from our first meeting I fell head over heels in love with Lindsey & Jorge. Sitting and chatting about their wedding was like talking to old friends. As we parted ways from our first meeting, they mentioned that they were going out on their continued hunt for the perfect vases for their wedding centerpieces. They told me how they had spent months scouring every nook and cranky of the city for blue and white vases to go with their eclectic, but oh so put together, Mexican Fiesta theme. I was smitten. I knew I needed to shoot their wedding.
Speaking of those vases. I would be remiss if I didn’t stop and give a huge shout out to Rachel and her team from Rachel A. Clingen Wedding & Event Design who transformed the tent at the Royal Ambassador into the most gorgeous, colourful, flower-filled Mexican Fiesta you have ever seen. Rachel’s designs and her attention to detail are second to none.
Lindsey and Jorge love churros. If fact, they love them so much they had a churro stand at their reception. Through Lindsey and Jorge I have discovered a love for churros. First at their engagement session in Kensington Market and then at their wedding. I may or may not have had two at their wedding, just to compare flavours. I will forever think of these two when I eat one. I was actually out for Mexican the other night and had to text Lindsey to tell her I was eating a churro and thinking about them. Mmmmm. Lindsey has a stunning singing voice. Her rendition of Etta James’ At Last gave me chills!
Lindsey and Jorge, you both know how wonderful I think you are. I’m so happy you came into my life. Your story is inspiring, your love is so beautiful!
