I may be doing this backwards, but it was only recently that I started second shooting weddings. I still haven’t done that many but here and there I have been known to help out a friend. I really enjoy second shooting. It is an entirely different beast. I look at it as a bit of a creative vacation. When you are not driving the bus you have more latitude to try new and experimental things. Sometimes they work and sometimes not so much, but you don’t know until you try. Either way, each time I do second shoot I feel inspired.
Last spring I second shot a 3 day Indian/Italian fusion wedding in Vancouver with the one and only Fran Chelico. You many remember a post I made a little while back from the Gaye Hould and Mehndi. I love shooting with Fran. She is a master at her craft but also a lot of fun. Thank you Fran for being a friend. Your support means the world to me! xo
They opted for a First Look which we did on the beach at Spanish Banks. The weather in Vancouver was gorgeous that day! After pictures we headed over to UBC, my alma matter, for the festivities. The ceremony and reception were at the Cecil Green Park House. I have gone to a few school events there but this was my first wedding. What a perfect place for a wedding! Thank you again Fran for having me along. Can’t wait to do it again!
