I am so excited to be featured on Style Me Pretty Canada today. I am also so over the moon to finally share this amazing Pender Island wedding with you. This wedding is so near and dear to my heart. Not only is it incredibly gorgeous and was a dream to shoot but it’s the wedding of two of my favourite people in the universe!
Over the last little while I have been compiling a document with tips to help you, help me create the best wedding images. Up until now it has been in point form. I wanted to expand on this so I thought I would make some blog posts and share my two cents. The first place I thought I would start is with the getting ready photos. I know you care about the quality of your wedding photographs as much as I do. Here is how we, together, will make sure you have something that you will love forever.
I learnt a very valuable lesson from one of my recent weddings. For days on either side of Erin and Jeff’s wedding the weather was perfect with not a cloud in the sky. However, as luck would have it, their wedding day was one of the wettest I have ever had to deal with. This sort of rain would get a lot of people down, but not Erin and Jeff. They would not let the rain squash their joy and excitement on their wedding day. Along with their intrepid wedding party, armed with Happy Glasses and umbrellas, we battled the elements and had a fantastic day. Yes we got a little wet but there are worse things in this world and it’s all about perspective. Whenever the rain gets me down and rearranges my plans as it has today, I think of these guys and put on my Happy Glasses!
