I can still hear some of the words from Erin’s speech in my head. The way she looks at Jeff. The way he looks at her. I’m even getting a bit of a lump in my throat just thinking about it. These two truly have a very special kind of love. It’s palpable. I feel it, their family feels it, and their friends feel it. I am so honoured to know these two lovebirds and to have been able to tell their story. My world is a sunnier place knowing that Jeff loves Erin and Erin loves Jeff.
And speaking of sun, well, there wasn’t any. The only sunny yellow on this particular day was in the yellow accents of the wedding party. Erin loves yellow. We already established this at their engagement shoot. Not only was there no sun but there was rain, lots of rain. I’m not talking about a little drizzle, I mean hard core, torrential, monsoon rain. When you think of dancing in the rain, I don’t imagine many people think of dancing in the rain in your wedding dress. This didn’t stop Erin and Jeff, they wanted to brave the elements and we got some really fun results.
Erin and Jeff and their circle of friends are regular Settlers of Catan players so an homage to their favourite game in cake form was a must. I’ve been told some of the games get pretty heated. I may or may not have also experienced some intense games among my circle of friends….
To Erin & Jeff, thank you so much for trusting me, for having fun on your wedding day, and just generally for being you! xo
